World Cup with Cold War Kids & Holy Water Buffalo

Poll Sound provided the concert sound system for the World Cup opening cerimonies at Park City Utah. A local band called Holy Water Buffalo opened the show wich featured the Cold War Kids as the main act. The show was set up on main street of Park City with the stage facing up the street.

We used D&B J series line arrays for the left right hangs with D&B T series line arrays for delays on a bridge about 120 feet up the street. All D&B Loudspeakers were powered with D&B D12 and D6 amplifiers. A Yamaha CL5 was used at the FOH mix position while a Yamaha M7 was used for monitors. The M7 was a great choice for a monitor mix desk due the the very limited amount of space on deck. All monitors were Electro Voice XW 12's powered by Lab Gruppen amplifiers. The system kept the crowd bouncing into the night even with the freezing temperatures, snow and wind.
