American Fork Steel Days - The Little River Band

Posted by: Tyler Robinson - Systems Tech on July 23, 2013

American Fork Steel Days was a great event that featured Firefly, The Little River Band and a spectacular fireworks show! Up and coming country artist Firefly was the opener and got the crowd nice and ready for a spectacular performance by The Little River Band.

This year we deployed our L-Acoustics Kara Rig for the show, with 11 Kara enclosures per side to cover the large audience area. A total of 4 SB28's and 4 SB18's were used to handle the low end needs. The Kara's worked great and provided an accurate translation of the mix over the entire audience area; another benefit with using Kara was the rigging speed which allowed us to load out in just over an hour. Yamaha PM5D's were used at the FOH and Monitor mix positions; Poll Sounds Bryce Stettler mixed FOH for Firefly with Tyler Robinson taking care of monitors.

The show was a great success and audio perfection was achieved. To learn more about Firefly click here; to learn more about The Little River Band click here.
