The University of Utah Huntsman Center is located on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and is the home of the Utah Men’s and Women’s basketball teams, and the Women’s Gymnastics team. It was built in 1969 and was famous for a 100’ diameter white cloud that hung from the ceiling. The cloud could not support the rigging requirements of larger shows and therefore the Huntsman Center was primarily a sports venue. In 2014, the cloud was removed and replaced with a “super grid” system. As part of the 2014 remodel, a state-of-the- art sound system was installed. Poll Sound was selected to install the system and also provided design assistance and system optimization.
