Poll Sound was pleased to provide audio support for The Well’s drive-in style worship service last Sunday in beautiful Sandy, Utah. The Well, like many other churches, has had to resort to virtual worship services during the COVID-19 pandemic, but with the State of Utah starting to lift restrictions on large gatherings they decided a drive-in style concert would be a great way to start their in-person worship services again.
Poll Sound coordinated the production aspects of the show, we teamed up with our longtime friends at ClearLamp AV and had them provide us with Staging, Lighting and Video Walls for the event. They did a fantastic job and provided a top notch setup for our friends at The Well.
We chose to deploy an L-Acoustics KARA rig for this event, we pre-engineered and modeled the system in Soundvision using the latest tools to optimize the rig, such as Autosplay and AutoFIR. These tools have created a noticeable improvement to our workflow and to the sonic quality of our deployments. The system was driven via AVB from a P1 with an analog fallback in case of a network failure. We also used the P1 for system alignment and tuning, the P1 greatly speeds up our system tuning allowing us to provide the client with more soundcheck time.
We’re grateful for The Well trusting us with the technical aspects of their event and look forward to many future shows with them.
